Eduard Schmidt-Löwe von Löwenfels

Illegitimate son of Anna Feodorovna, Grand Duchess of Russia (born Princess Juliane of Saxe-Coburg and Saalfeld) (1781-1860), possibly by Jules Gabriel Emile de Seigneux (1768–1834). Adopted by Edgar Eduard Schmidt-Löwe and ennobled by his uncle Ernst I., Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1818 as “von Löwenfels”.

Born: Trieb near Signau 28. Oct 1808

Married: Prague 30. May 1835 Berta von Schauenstein (1817-1896), his first cousin, illegitimate daughter of Ernst I. Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1784-1844) by Sophie Fermepin de Marteaux (1799-1885).
