Daughter of Karl II. Wilhelm Ferdinand, souvereign Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg (1735-1806) and his wife Augusta, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland (1737-1813)

Born: Wolfenbüttel 17. May 1768

Married: St. James’s Palace 8. Apr 1795 George, Prince of Wales, later King George IV. of the United Kingdom (1762-1830), her first cousin, son of King George III. of the United Kingdom (1738-1820) and his wife Sophie Charlotte, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1744-1818)

Issue:

• Princess Charlotte of Wales (1796-1817) m.1816 Leopold Prince of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, later King Leopold I. of the Belgians (1790-1865)

Died: Brandenburg House, London 7. Aug 1821, from "an obstruction on the liver", possibly caused by stomach cancer.
