Alexandra of Denmark
Born Alexandra Caroline Marie Charlotte Louise Julia, Princess of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg. Became Princess of Denmark in 1853 when her father ascended to the Danish throne. Called Alix by her family.
Daughter of Christian IX. King of Denmark (1818-1906) and Luise, Landgräfin von Hessen-Kassel (1817-1898).
