Luise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie, Princess of Prussia

Her name was spelled “Louisa” after her marriage.

Daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm III., King of Prussia (1770-1840) and his wife Luise, Princess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz (1776-1810)

Born: Berlin 1. Feb 1808

Married: Berlin 21. May 1825 Frederik, Prince of the Netherlands (1797-1881)

Five years later her brother Albrecht of Prussia married Frederik’s sister Marianne of the Netherlands

Issue:

• Louisa, Princess of the Netherlands (1828-1871) m. 1850 Carl XV., King of Sweden (1826-1872)
• Frederik, Prince of the Netherlands (1833-1834)
• Willem, Prince of the Netherlands (1836-1846)
• Marie, Princess of the Netherlands (1841-1910) m. 1871 Wilhelm, Fürst zu Wied (1845-1907)

Died: De Paauw Palace, Wassenaar, Netherlands 6. Dec 1870
