Named “Albert” after his maternal grandfather Albert of Saxe-Coburg and “Wilhelm”  after his paternal grandfather Emperor Wilhelm I.

Son of Friedrich III. German Emperor (1831-1888) and his wife Victoria, Princess of Great Britain and Ireland (1840-1901)

Born: Neues Palais, Potsdam 14. Aug 1862

Married : Charlottenburg 24. May 1888 Irene, Princess of Hesse and by Rhine (1866-1953)

• Waldemar, Prince of Prussia (1889-1945) m. 1919 Calixta, Princess of Lippe (1895-1982)
• Sigismund, Prince of Prussia (1896-1978) m. 1919 Charlotte Agnes, Princess of Saxe-Altenburg (1899-1989)
• Heinrich, Prince of Prussia (1900-1904)

Died : Hemmelmark Manor near Kiel  20. Apr 1929 from throat cancer
