Alastair Windsor, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn
Born Prince Arthur of Connaught.
In Letters Patent King George V. Of the United Kingdom restricted the titles of Prince or Princess to children of the sovereign or the children of the sovereign’s sons. As Prince Alastair was only a great-grandson of a sovereign, he became from that point known as Arthur Windsor, Earl of Macduff. He succeded to the Dukedoms of Connaught and Strahtearn upon his grandfather’s death in 1942.
