Daughter of Leopold, Grand Duke of Baden (1790-1852) and his wife Sophie, Princess of Sweden (1801-1865).

Married: Karlsruhe 3. May 1842 Ernst II. Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1818-1893), son of Ernst I. Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (1784-1844) by his first wife Luise, Princess of Saxe-Gotha (1800-1831).
